Cobalt 3100-Series Easy Pack Collator/Case Packer System Speeds up to 15 Cases per Minute
The Cobalt 3100 Series Easy Pack system for stand-up pouches and bags utilizes Moving Tape Head Technology™ to bottom seal corrugated cases and manually pack product. Pouches and bags are collated, counted and neatly organized for easy case packing by the operator. Customers report quick payback of less than six (6) months.
The Cobalt Collator makes packing more efficient and ergonomically friendly over traditional turntable pack-off lines, eliminating repetitive twisting motions and simplifying product pick-up and case packing by the operator. Case counts are selected on the control panel eliminating counting errors.
Compact, portable, and flexible the system changeover from size to size takes two minutes.
Cobalt 3100 Series Features
Variable speed 12 inch wide collator infeed conveyor accepts product from any horizontal pouch machine or vertical bagger.
Collator with bag pivot positions and controls stand-up pouches and bags for easy packing.
Bag count preset for operator pack convenience. Gaps are created between product counts.
Ergonomic case loading station with dual triggers activates fully automatic flap-folding and bottom sealing. Includes knock-down case staging tray positioned for easy access.
The stationary case is sealed by a moving carriage mounted tape head driven by a gear motor with over-torque protection.
A DEKKA two (2) inch tape head is standard.
Case squaring clamps hold the case in the loading station during sealing, improving case quality and allowing the operator to release and prepare the next case, maximizing output.
15 inch collating conveyor height adjustment range maintains the conveyor height at the top of the open case for ease of loading.
Easy case width and length adjustment through a ratchet handle driven screw, slide with hand lock, and identifying scales. A product selector switch changes the collator package sizes. Changeover time is approximately 2 minutes.
Locking swivel casters provide portability.
Gunmetal gray powdercoat frames with 304 stainless steel or food grade material for package contact parts.
Available collating options include Intralox style chain infeed conveyor for low coefficient of friction packages, variable infeed lengths in 2 foot increments, and wide or heavy package options.
Available case forming options include heavy wall corrugated or divider case option, angled case loading for difficult to pack products and extended size ranges.
